my first custom purpleheart body, quilt top, 6 str. mop dragon inlay. I broke it twice!

That looks like a very tight string spacing. Do you play with a pick or fingers?
I suppose you must get a lot of attention with an inlay that is so prominent.

This was my main stage bass for over 10 years and most folks never thought it was a bass. When we would play a new venue the soundman would ask where the bass player was, and I was standing there all the time. After I had my wide koa 6 made they shared stage time. I use a pick most of the time but at home I practice a pseudo classical fingering technique.

Fell out of a stand on its face and tripped the wire and then it fell out of the stand on its face. Both at home so I was the (insert adjective here)!
