Miguel - That is a great looking bass - pristine condition.
If you wish to learn more about the instrument post a note in
with the serial number.
Play it loud!

That is in incredibly good condition for a 20 year old bass.

Hello Miguel,
I'm not sure, but your top looks like zebrawood to me. The back is most likely mahogany. It is a beautiful instrument, congratulations. Your son is very lucky to have a sharing father.

Always the best way to learn...and keep interested in an instrument IS to start out on a quality instrument. Of course startin\ out on an Alembic is...well... remember that Fender Musicmaster bass .

the rotary control is a pickup selector, it has a stand by, bridge, both, and neck settings. the other controls are a volume, low-pass filter, and a q switch

Congrats Miguel!! Very nice Spoiler! As the others have mentioned it looks to be a Zebrawood top, Mahogany body and three piece Maple neck. Taylor's explained the controls, but there's also a description in the
FAQ
section.
Enjoy!
