Wow!!  Nicest SC I think I've ever seen.  Love the dark to light transition on the top wood.

Peace,

Beautiful bass. I'm taking a keener interest in SCs now that I've recently acquired one. Gorgeous basses all around, but that rosewood top and back is absolutely stunning.

I notice the pickup spacing on yours is slightly different to mine - the neck pickup is slightly nearer the fretboard on yours. Looks like at some point betwen 89 and 93, Alembic decided to move the neck pickup back a bit on SCs. I wonder why. Or is every SC unique when it comes to pickup placement? Anybody know?

Karl; I think the neck pickup was moved back because a lot of players who used slap techniques at the fretboard found the pickup to be in the way.  But of course on a custom order you can have it put where you want it.

I'm going to have to agree with James; this is the nicest SC I've seen!
