As mentioned in the Introductions area, here is a photo of the ND Arsenal.

1968 vintage Hofner, 50th Anniversary American Standard Jazz, Coco Bolo Fantasy 00MK12429, 1999 Orion 5-String, Yahama.

Since I don't gig any longer, the combo amps are all I need.  Mostly, I play the SWR, although I suppose I could move enough air to rattle the windows if they were all daisy chained.  Hummm, interesting idea.  They're usually not that close together.  Maybe I should try it

Nice collection.  Yep, daisy-chain them at least once, just for the h**l of it

Looks like Bass Olympus:  Cocobolo Zeus flanked by lesser deities.

Great pic!

Dean,

Cool!  You have 00MK12429.  I have 00MKC12421 (also cocobolo).  We're nursery-mates!

Both of your basses are impressive!

Peace,

Hey All,
Thanks for all of the nice comments; much appreciated.

I know this is the Alembic message board, but I have a question for Chuck if you're checking back.  The serial number of my Hofner is 2710.  This indicates a 1966, distributed by Selmer, date range according to the Hofner website.  Perhaps when I purchased it (in 1969, the dealer told me it was a new 1968) it was old inventory at Selmer or at the dealer.  Would you mind sharing the serial number of the Hofner you purchased in 1970?

James: We have sibling bass guitars in the 00MK1249x family.  We should have a family reunion in 2010 on their 10th birthday!

Sorry Dean. That bass fell victim to my deamon ex wife about a year after I purchased it.
