And Art... you're such a nice guy... it really sucks, your luck with the recent tales of lamentation... but your time will come, you'll get your Alembic... you will... and it'll be great! And I'll be here to see it happen. Take your time, be patient, and get the right one for you. My recommendation is to get a custom, if possible; even a modest custom would be totally awesome. The lowest end neck-thru, with the right special of the month, custom neck length and scale, and one or two custom options would totally rock!
Thanks again, guys! Barring something horrible happening that requires one of my two Alembics to be replaced... this'll probably be my last one. Believe me... the two that I have'll hold me... they're built to last... a lifetime!
My two custom Alembic cover virtually the entire spectrum -excluding fretless basses. If I become rich, that'll be my next Alembic.
Until such a time, I'm incredibly satisfied and content with the two that I have. This latest bass is just incredibly awesome... a perfect 10 in the looks department, the sound is also just incredible, and the versatility is utterly mind-boggling, something which can only be equaled or surpassed by another Alembic.
It's just so awesome...
