Thanks for the comments guys, I was begining to think no-one was interested in me!
The facing wood is buck-eye burl with purple heart & maple pin striping on a mahogany back.
The LEDs are opperated from a single switch with top & side illumination, when switched off, i still have front & side markers, they cost an additional ?500 (@$1,000).
The only down side to the Simms LED system is that it is all powered from the circuit battery,
so one 9v battery is running the tone circuit & LEDs, which makes for a more regular battery change of about about every 3rd gig, if i have the lights on for the 2nd &/or 3rd set (but that is when posing at function/dinner dances!).
It's my favourite bass in my collection, is used on a weekly basis, i've had it from new for the last 5 years & we've put some miles on the clock, up & down the U.K.
