Great bass!  Was this bass once a fretless?  I am asking because it looks like the LED's are on the fret lines.  Or were these LED's added later?  Just curious.

Hi dela217,

To be quite honest, I'm not sure if it was fretless at one time.  When I paid homage to Alembic with a visit, Mica pointed out the fret/led detail to me as well, and she wasn't quite sure herself.  I don't know why I didn't think to ask for a build sheet.  I may have to request one after all.  Thanks for your kind comment.  Merry Christmas!

Congrats Rob - Very nice bass you have added to the fold there... that maple/mahogany combo is hard to beat. ;)

Thanks!

Looks like the pickup connector wires have been modified to include two-pin connectors as well.  Likely done when the new pickups were installed.

Thanks, guys. It's a wonderful bass, plays nicely and sounds fantastic.  And at just 10 lbs it's the lightest Alembic I have :)
