76 series one zebra wood

Well, my 2 - 3 year quest for a series one is now over. I just took deleviry on 76-286. Looks to be Zebra wood with maple and mahogany neck lams (nope, not purple heart). Original case needs some re-work to make it more solid. I am the 3rd owner. It also has a bit more 'hippy sandwich' lams than some. It has the silver hand cut logo. Does anyone know when in 76 this was switched to the cast logo?
 
I have an F-2b and the bass came with the power supply. Perhaps someone can tell me the best way to hook these two item up?

Here is how I run it; but it's not the only way to do it.  There are two outputs on the power supply.  Run a cable from one output to the first channel of the F-2B, and run a cable from the other output to the second channel of the F-2B.  Now, one set of bass, mid, and treble controls can be used to EQ the neck pickup, and the other channel can EQ the bridge pickup.  If you want, you can then come out of the F-2B in mono to continue to the rest of your signal chain (effects, power amp, etc.) of you can come out in stereo maintaining the separation of the neck and treble pickups.  My rig is set up to come out of the F-2B in mono.

Very cool!!! I can barely see the core lams, but it looks like a tastey sandwich!.... Also, it looks as if at some point the original channel style bridge was swapped out for the more modern version.

Well, I plugged it in. I ran it in stereo out the F-2b into an SWR 350 with a 15 and a 2x10 and also into my SWR 550 into the 4x10 Goliath. My Gwad, what a lot of great sounds you can get out of it. It's mind boggling! Lots of great tones, earth shaking lows and clear highs. I'd like to get a Brothers Johnson kind of tone (like 'strawberry letter 23, or whatever it's called').  
 
Anyone have any ideas for that sound?
