You are correct about the new bird, Eiji.

You received 145 around the same time I got 137, and ever since I've noticed a lot of similarities about this run of instruments. Todd mentioned that 74 or 75 Flamed Maple is possibly one serial # away from 137 as well...

I'm guessing that LD Heater's purchase orders at this time were aiming for a standardized or uniform set of options.

Absolutely spectacular to behold. I remember when we met, you told me about your wait. I love the green pickups! Hoping we can jam together again soon. I've just hooked up with a rockabilly industry guy in NYC and will be starting a new project with him. Would love to hear you play some pedal steel again and play your gorgeous early Alembic. OK, so yesterday I got a chance to sit down with Tom Chapin (Harry's brother). The guitar was originally registered to him, and I figured this would be a nice reunion which would provide some historical antidotes.... Unfortunately this wasn't the case. As soon as I opened up the case Tom seemed to think that this guitar belonged to Doug Walker (Harry's guitarist). Tom played it for a quick second and said I don't remember ever owning an Alembic, because if I did, I surely would've kept it .... So.... the plot thickens.
