John; I know you said you are doing a dragon inlay on the headstock.  But when I saw this Alembic headstock logo on Ebay I thought I should at least mention it to you.

I now own this bass and I have a question; is this a Series I? Has any more info about this bass come up? I was told it was a Alembic and it damn sure sound like an Alembic. But the finish and tailpiece has always bothered me. Just don't seem to match the finish on my other Alembics. I can't see any numbers, but my eyesight is shot.

it's probably an employee project from alembic in the the 70's there's quite a few of them out there,to me it seems it was worked on a bit and not completed totally but it's an alembic!

maybe it's just me, but the figure in the headstock overlay looks.... ummm... somewhat, er, maternal?
