I just got this bass today and it looks awesome. I'll post some better pix's later. Just wanted to show her off. The walnut on this bass is really nice.
I've never played a Series before so ou can bet I'm anxious to get home.

Have fun with the tweaking!
There is a LOT to tweak on a Series II believe me ...I know!

Olie:

Very cool and unusual looking bass.  It looks like the old style on the bottom, but with off-set horns.  I like it!  I suspect you're going to really enjoy the Series electronics.  Play it in good health! (If you don't mind good wishes from a lawyer - nyuk, nyuk).

Thanks Bill, I'll take anything I can get from a lawyer for FREE, that doesn't happen too often.LOL
I played it tonight at church. Haven't done a thing to it either. Plugged it in, tuned it up and went to town. Sounds as great as it looks.
Man I tell you, this bass is clean. I can't find so much as a dust particle on it. No scratches, dents or marks of any kind. Carl really took care of this bass. Looks as good as my MK that I bought new.

Hope you'll take a personal check!
The Series is really cool but Paul is right, there is a lot of tweaking to do. I can see where the sound possiblities are endless. I have ALL weekend to play with though! Might have to take time out to eat though!

And as with all that have gone before him, Olie was never heard from again. Blinded by his new posession, he never realized who really owned whom.

Later in July, I only ask two things, don't let me see it, don't let me play it. My family will eternaly thank you. (in case you can't tell, Olie me boy, I'm a wee bit stricken with the evil green monster, curse his scurrilous whispers)

MIKE! I've already bought a case of IBC's for our jam session! Ya' can't back out now. OH Come on, one time ain't gotta hurt ya'. You know you want to try it! (man I kind of feel like the pusher man, and you know what John Kay said about him). LOL
OH yea, I know who owns me. After all, first time I played it was in church. I'm gonna bust that puppy out Sunday morning too.

IBC's? Well that would be just down right uneighborly to say no to that, you drive a hard bargain, Mr. Oliver.

(Okay I'll try it if you make me, but you have to promise to intervene if I start muttering things like gotta have and the kids don't need college that bad)

The last picture on the black backdrop makes the grain really standout.  Great bass!
