Our brother Sean put me on to this website:  www.nrps.net. In this site if you go to the gallery you will find many pictures with Alembic guitars and basses.  There is even a great picture of a single cutaway Alembic bass. Matt are you reading this??  I think these guys were very plugged into the Alembic thing early on.  Check out the stage gear too.  I am only guessing that those tie dyed cabs are Alembic. I LOVE that magic era.  Ron needs to work on that time machine for me.

Well I'm beside myself.  Great memories.  I'm sittin' here listening to tunes I haven't heard in several decades.  These are tunes I used to love; and now I suddenly realize I still do!!  Thanks Michael, this has made my evening!!

Yeah, I like them too!  Brings back lots of memories.  It made me bust out their old stuff and give it a listen.  They used to play often here in New Orleans.  For some reason that sort of music was big here.  Allman bros, country rock et al.  We had a concert hall here called A Warehouse.  It used to have these type of acts that would play until sunrise.  Really!  I had some great times there.  I find it hard to believe that it's been that many years ago!

I love the sound of the bass on those early recordings.  That is the sound I strive for when I play my country gigs.  With my 72 Alembic I get that EXACT sound.  Good stuff.
