Was watching a series called Unsung on cable channel TVOne.  The series highlights R&B artists whose lights shone hot, but briefly during the 70s, 80s, and 90s.  Last night they featured the band Rose Royce.

Seeing Rose Royce as an opening act for Parliament Funkadelic back in '76-'77 is my first remembrance of seeing an Alembic.  I was shocked at how far Lequient Duke Jobe fell after the group broke up.  Glad to see, though that he's working on getting back out there.

I thought Series alembics were heavy but he seems to be dancing with it fine.
