Yes, that's correct regarding the SVT2,
...the SVT4 is for the electrics (and the  the little fender on top for highs?)

Your pictures are close and clear and I feel lucky to be able to analyze his settings.
I bet a macro of the mosquito would be almost as fascinating ;)

Elwood, could you be kind to explain me what you said because I did understand... sorry but google translation didn't help me... (post 1251) thanks.
A question now: if he use one F1-X per pickup, how he do to get the both sounds pickup's on the pedalboard, because its not stereo ?

Ok...I'll see if I can rephrase post 1251

My best guess:
The signal would go stereo from the bass to the top unit ,
the highs going through the top F-1X...the lows could be switched to the lower F-1X or kept in the top unit for simpler set-ups (smaller gigs?).

One of the advantages I see with using both F-1x's is that you have more tone controls for your high and low signals. The crossover frequencies can also be adjusted with more flexibility using both units.

Good question regarding the pedal board.
It may be in a loop from his rack with a mono send and stereo return.
Only his gear technician knows for sure.

 I hope this translates better.

Thank for your help Elwood.
I'm asking about this because with my setting I cannot have real stereo (stereo is a great word, we could talk more on separate pickups signal) for the only reason my pedal board can affect only one pickup. I use the mono output of the DS-5R and go after to the F1-X, the back output send signal to pedal board. I have both pickups on pedal board and on both channels of my amp.
I don't know how use one F1-X per pickup separate (each pickup use 1 F1-X) and pedal board or Lexicon digital unit...
Any suggestion ?
Here is a icture of the back of SVT4 to try to understand Stanley's rig. Maybe somebody has the cellar number of his technician ? ;o)
If you look at the svt4 back, he cannot use crossover's outputs of the F1-X: it's mean he need 4 input in his amp and If I remember me good, he used the fullrange output of the F1-X. The question about pedalboard stay a mystery or he use only for the most used pickup ?

Hi Pierre-Yves! Great report!! More of those thank you! I did listen to RTF4 in Hamburg and it was a great band and a really good show! Stanley did have a great bass sound. The new Ampeg rig matches his Alembics very well. Stanley is one of those players who knows about sound and cares about it.

collymanm, uhuhu if you READ my page, you see this video at the bottom... ;o)
Thanks Jos. Waaaaaaaaawwwww Jan Olof ???? My God, what a surprise !!! I just read your pofile. I have 2 of your album, one with a big 5 strings Alembic  Nice player, master ;o) Stanley's sound is first his fingers, second Alembic, third tube amplification. For me SWR or Ampeg is approximatively the same. He has a good engineer too. He know exactly find (and remember with some ltlle adhesive strip) some fine sounds on his basses. It's enough difficult to find the same, even I have same gear (approximately)
Here is one of my sound:

I use always both pickups, I play on a mix of both volume pot to find some nice sounds.

Anyway, if somebody has his private adress (of Stanley), please send me by email, thanks

I ain't an anorak when it comes to sound settings, I just turn the knobs until it sounds fine to me out front BUT did you notice the lack of pick up selector on the lower horn of the tenor bass...sort of Signature meets Series electronics

terryc, it's not the tenor bass but the standard bass EADG. The tenor is the cocobolo one. I dont know why the pickup selector of the buckeye bass have no corner... maybe progressive selector or just esthetic ?

When I had the bass built I did not like that the  pointer knob banged up my hand so we went with a round knurled knob. There is a ridge on the top that indicates direction.
