Type O Negative, one of my favorite bands and a Black Spoiler. My 83 BK Spoiler has some brothers out there. Right Flip?

Thanx for the link, been a while since I've seen that. :-)
I must have seen that Spoiler in action a few times, have visited many ToN concerts in the 90's
I kinda lost track after October Rust though...
I've been wondering if maybe that is your black Spoiler (I guess not after your last post) or does mr. Steele still have/uses it?

I spoke to Pete in NYC at the Nokia. He said how great they are after I mentioned that I played them. And he spoke highly of the Wickershams. I know he uses Washburns now and didn't ask if he still had them. Susan and Mica have some good stories to tell. Kenny and Johnny told me how great his Spoilers were and that you couldn't kill them.

Pete died Wednesday from heart failure at the age of 48. I only met him a few times but when I got a call from a friend it really bummed me out. One of my favorite voices in heavy music is no more.

Yes, this was sad news indeed. RIP.
I sold a bass recently to a guy who said he used to spray paint basses with Peter back in the '90s - including the Spoiler(s)...

Pete said in his BassPlayer interview that the Spoiler was the best bass he'd ever played in his life.

Pete was a family friend of ours an he was a simpl amazing person that taught me a lot about everything... He's made a huge impact on my life, my music, and my attitude. I miss him a lot but through him i started playing bass and through his music, i made it through a lot, good and bad. My earliest inspiration to play bass, and my introduction to heavy music. I'll always be grateful for him and everything he's done, RIP Pete. We miss you.

Pete was always incredibly nice to speak to. I'm pretty sure he's the only person we ever sold an unfinished bass to, and I think it was maybe 3 or 4 of them!
Sometimes it's hard to imagine you won't get to talk to someone again. Five years?!

Mica ,  Your sentence , Sometimes it's hard to imagine you won't get to talk to someone again. So true , it opens the gate in our mind to those existential questions that we all feel and cannot always produce words to describe . I have been there a few times and once again go there in recent time.  For such feelings there is Music and Art to express them with . So much Music & Art  seems  to have been created from such existential reflection in a wide spectrum of genre.

> Pete was a close family friend. Such a kind and gentle person and so talented too. The reason I got my first bass and started playing was from hearing him and he's also the reason I started singing. Had such an impact on my life years ago and now. Dearly missed. RIP
