I know how important it is to get a better preview, but it still pains me every time I see a beautiful piece of coco bolo swabbed with acetone. Sucking out that amazing, orange-colored oil that makes this wood so special.
Okay, it's still going to be sanded, but I can't help thinking that you remove some from the surface, and the deeper stuff moves up to compensate, and you lose some. Sigh.
But I'm probably just obsessing, needlessly.
