Today I was out snapping pictures and remembered you had wanted to see your bass under construction. Tony was working on your bass:

Hi Mica,
Thank you so much...now I'm really excited.  Even unfinished, she's absolutely beautiful.  I love the coco bolo and the triple heart omega is awesome.

Thanks again and any more pictures you could supply in the future would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.  Talk to you soon.

Hi Mica,
How's everything going?
I don't know if any work has been done on the headstock yet, but if not, would it be possible to have the tuning pegs mounted at a slant toward the neck.

Here's the peghead today.

You can see it's still several coast of spray away from being finished. Is this what you had in mind for the tuners:

Or do you want them angled more?

Hi Mica,

The head looks real tight...I like it.
Can the tuners be angled a little more drastically?
Thanks again for all your help Mica, please let me know what you think.

Sure thing. I checked with James, and he says there is a limit to how much they can be tilted down - you need enough clearance between the edge of the peghead and the edge of the key, especially on the B string.

It looks like the ones in the above picture are angled about 5 degrees down. Can you express in degrees how much you want the tuners angled on your bass?

I would like it angled as much as possible...so I would say whatever james felt would be the maximum allowable would definitely work for me.

Hi Mica,

Last week Susan indicated that my baby might be shipped this week...just checking on the status and was wondering if you had any finished photos...if not...I guess I'll just have to be patient.

I haven't received my first Alembic yet, and I'm already plotting a custom Rogue in the near future...my wife will have serious problems with that...but I'll work it out.

Your bass is finished but we decided to hold off shipping until Tuesday so it wouldn't sit around in a UPS warehouse over the long weekend. It will arrive at the dealer next Thursday, but we'll give you some eye candy to chomp on until then:

I think the bass turned out just great, and how I love the satin finish neck. Please write or call when you receive it, we're anxious to hear your reaction.

Hi Mica,

She is absolutely gorgeous...the coco bolo looks stunning...I can only imagine what it looks like in person.

Thanks again for all your help and I will certainly give you a call once I get my hands on her.
