Here's the wood you selected, now bookmatched and ready to assemble in the body:  For the top, this is Chip's preference:  #1

or reversed if you prefer as:  #2

  and for the back:  #3

or reversed if you prefer:  #4

Please get back with us as soon as possible so that we can meet your target delivery date. The neck is ready for this body now. I'll get you some more pictures soon of course.

1 and 2 have a bit of a feminine profile, i.e. female in profile.

They're all pretty amazing pieces of wood-- good luck choosing.

LOVE IT!!!
I would prefer the #1 combination.
Mmmmmm ...with that wood I would dream myself a fretless sixstring with an Elan body with this wood bookmatched to center and ...just one (1) PU! The PU just in the spot where the grain comes together and generally more oriented to the bridge.
With custom electronics: Volume, Filter Q, Bass, Mid and treble, 35 ebony laminated neck with Europa headstock and 4/2 tuners set-up.
And ...

WHY AM I TORTURING MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul the bad one

I with you Paul.  I look at it saying to myself Darn, I wanted that piece of wood! Then I remember that pesky discretionary income thing again.
Excellent choice Paulo, congratulations on the new addition to your Alembic family.

I can see why so many folks are wal-nuts This wood is so diverse and surreal. It looks as if an impressionist had painted the grain onto the wood! absolutley spendid!

Just before I left on Friday, I saw Chip had made the outline for your top cut:

Also, my mom asked me to send you a picture of the template you requested:

In your email you asked for a smaller Rogue shape, but it's not possible with the Series I or II electronics, in fact, the body is usually very slightly larger to make room for the electronics.

Great, but I know that you know this, but my bass is a 4 string one. I'm telling you the obvious , but just to make sure that you know once you showed me this 5 string peghead. It will look great for a 4 string bass too, very proportional .
