Oh yeah, it's the same good connector, just in the standard finish. We'll get one ordered tomorrow in silver for both ends, and should be ready to ship it out really soon.

This bass is totally sick.  Disgusting.  Unbelievable.

Well, I think this is the first time I've ever seen 'disgusting' given as an opinion for an Alembic instrument. However, when you pair it with totally sick' and unbelievable', I believe it is a very good, albeit radical, description of an amazing work of art.
I'm with you on this one, Jim.
Correction: there is 'much' money to be made above the fifth fret....

Rami, how about some more pix of the three together? While we're waiting for Mica's incredible camera.

Yep,  It's pretty outrageous.  I cannot describe with mere words what it is to behold such a creation in reality.  I'm not usually an emotional person - but when I first opened it's case, I had an emotional reaction that would have brought the house down!  I probably could have used a doctor at that moment.  I feel very lucky to be its custodian.  It is no less than a masterpiece.  It is perfection - I cannot think of any way to top it.

Hey Ken,

Thanks - we Rogue owners MUST stick together.

By the way,  if you'll notice, this thread started in August 2002!

Yeah, kinda puts the words six to eight weeks in a new light...

To be fair though, it looks like you were waiting for a specific piece of ebony that took awhile to materialize. I was able to find my piece at the shop that day. I know they'll be worth the wait!!

We really needed the time to get all the details right.  I go more for the clean uniform look rather than elaborate inlays.  It's all about the wood.
It's going to be spectacular!

Took a peek at your bass today Rami, looks BAAAAAD...
if you know what I mean...
The body and the neck are all glued together...on to carving next I believe..I know Mica will have some shots soon.
I need to see my chiropractor next...I lifted it.
All kidding aside, it's really heavy, just like you wanted it...I had to go weigh it, couldn't resist...10 1/2 pounds and no hardware or electronics yet...looks gorgeous, very menacing...

Tony was carving your bass yesterday:

Here's up close during the process:

By the end of the day, He was ready to send the bass to carving:

The LED wires are protected with masking tape at the base of the fingerboard.

Since the plates are all continuous wood, they've already been cut and preserved. Today Bob will get the pickup holes deep enough for those cool continuous wood pickups.   This is a mighty bass.
