I'll second that, Flax!!!! I don't think I could survive the torture without the Little Bear.

Agreed.

Buying an Epic has increased my patience.  I'm thinking seriously about starting to play the double bass.  That might help, too.

Jeff,

Good news on Scooter!

If I'm going to do the DB thing, I think I'm going to go all the way-- rather do that, and then switch to something like the Steinberger than try the other way.  Besides, the acoustic thing is appealing.

You'll have received two basses for my not-yet one.  I'm going DB shopping, that's it.

Can't go wrong With DB. Strengthens fingers, adds a mare to the stable, makes you use your ears too..There is another thread going on just that right now.
You are patient no doubt.
Flax...very cool!!!!

It's a stunning beauty, Flax, and adding a bass control to the modified Signature electronics is a winning electronics package for sure!

And yeah, it sure is less stressful waiting for a custom Alembic when you've already got one.  'Course I just ordered mine, but I'm mentally just kicked back and waiting for when my time comes!

thanks charlie
just hoping it sounds as good as it looks
even though its an alembic, am antsy to hear it of course. i am always twiddling with the bass so it made sense(thank you mica)to add it on the bass
the minor trade off was no stereo jack and that was no big deal in my eyes
