Here's what your bass looked like last week in the spray department:

Lookin' great! The only thing that bothers me is the top of the peghead; I see this black line on the top...will that be there when you are finished?

The black line would be part of the finished peghead, but I've asked Kris to reveneer it. I selected a new front veneer, so I'm sure you'll be happy with the new one.

I can see how the one that was originally on there could be distracting.

Thanks a bunch!... It was really bothering me.
Thanks for the trace and the diagram for the stereo cords. Since I don't have a digital camera
could you take a few shots of my bass at different angles and I can post them later in the Showcase section?

Thanks again!

That is beautiful.  I love the bookmatch to center.  I am also crazy about the way the grain fans out in that direction toward the neck.

It's gonna be a sweet bass. Does it have a maple core?

Yes, it has a purple heart accent and maple core.
My first Alembic had a maple core and I liked it so I had Alembic do it again.

Haven't taken any of the back yet, but got this Return of the Peghead shot in sorting through last weeks' pics:

Hope you like the new veneer!

I was shooting Coco Bolo Tribute bookmatches today, and got this before it was prepped for the next coat of spray:

It's still quite thirsty for paint and will probably be in the spray department under my uncle's care for about the next week to week and a half.

Hey this bass is similar to what I'm looking to order. (SC deluxe with maple body). Just wondering about your impressions of it. How does she sound? Any balance problems? Etc. Thanks. Ryan.
