Todd's 10-string
« on: October 27, 2005, 04:39:10 PM »
Every bass has to start somewhere, and it's usually the neck:

In this picture, it's ready for peghead veneers and a fingerboard.

Can't wait to see how this turns out.  I've been batting around the idea of a 10 string, but not gigging has taken away the motivation.

I found this guy getting glued up:

There will be more good stuff soon, now that all the tooling is prepared.

Me likes the Scorpion shape.  This is going to be a lovely instrument.  An homage to Greg Lake perhaps??

A TEN string Scorpian!!!?  I approve!  Strongly.

Yeah, the Scorpian was always one of my VERY favorite Alembic body shapes... classy, original, distinct, and functional.

Looks to be quite a beauty... and you WILL love the ebony in the neck!

Hey Todd-- nice neck .  That cocobolo isn't too shabby, either.
