Tom's Custom Further
« on: November 09, 2007, 05:55:20 PM »
I meant to start your thread ages ago.

These neck pictures were from June, just before my doctor put me on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Sorry I forget to get this going sooner.  This is a little like a timewarp, because here's your guitar today:

After the inlay, the amber tint you added will go on in spray. Hope you like how it's shaping up.

Tom:

Further with amber tint and bevel.  Obviously a man of impeccable taste.  You've got a real beauty shaping up here.  Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for the inlay and medalion.  Enjoy the ride.

A medallion inlay later:

and a finishing paw print on the first fret:

And this "puppy" is back in spray. Just needs about 3-4 more coats of finish, final cure, rubout then setup.

Holy smokes.  I know it's been a L-O-N-G build process, but that is an absolutely stunning guitar and the inlays are incredible
