Thanks for the gingered push!! The tail piece is being created into a model at this time. There will probably be something new to see in a few days to weeks. I, too, can hardly wait.

David and I have been talking on the phone, but I haven't updated the Club yet. Here's a picture of the tailpiece yesterday:

  And today it's mounted on the bass for testing the custom wound strings:

  So we're still hashing out the finish on the tailpiece. It will be goldplated along with the rest of the hardware, but instead of a big shiny mirror, we are thinking of either a hammered or engraved design. Also, I think a bevelled edge would look cool. Whatever we do, we want to get the decision made soon so this bass can be born!
