Shaun,

What Chris said is absolutely true. I still walk into my studio and just stare at my Rogue for a few minutes before I pick it up. When I play, the sound is always amazing.

Enjoy!

Shaun,

Wonderful bass, I wish I was ballsy enough to sling something like that around my neck.

I do have one question, and I hope I didn't miss this in the thread, but it looks like you have signature electronics and a dummy humcaneller? Is this cosmetic or functional? Either way, it's a nice touch.

Hi guys! Unfortunately an inordinately busy life has kept me away from my new baby for a couple of days, so I still haven't had chance to plug her in. One day this week ...speaking of amps, LOL,  I'm not sure my old Trace is gonna bring out the best in it; at some stage I'm going to have to look at another upgrade methinks (oh my aching bank balance!).

I've got to admit, I've taken to having a quick peek at the bass each night as I go to bed. I still don't think its sunk in!

Mike, yep, those are signature electronics with a dummy humcanceller. It is actually a functioning unit, but isn't wired up. Susan was kind enough to allow me to have one fitted for cosmetic purposes (it just completes the look for me; sorry, I'm just fussy about these things!) I will be eternally in her debt....

All the best

Shaun

Hi Ken! Wasn't sure whether to go to my thread or yours,LOL, but seeing as its my bass we were talking about, here I am.

That's exactly how I figured it should be pronounced, but as both words are relatively new to me wanted to make sure before I started telling everyboy (I mean, can you imagine naming my own bass in Elvish and then pronouncing it wrong? How much of a dummy would I look? Of course most people wouldn't know the difference anyway, LOL). Anyway, I figure your 2nd opinion is good enough for me! So, Sorne-Raama it is!!!!! Thanks to both you and Sam!

Glad to help Shaun. Actually due to you and Ken getting new basses I've been re-reading the LOR triligy. It's been about 30 years and seems I've forgotten a lot of details.
Congratulations on the new bass, Ken.  One day I'll be in the custom ranks, hopefully.

Congratulations Ken! What's the spec? I must say I'm not jealous at all.....er, alright, maybe just a little bit. Ok, a heck of a lot ! I'll bet you can't wait! BTW I'm still working my way through all the new threads and postings; I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Sam - good to hear you reread the trilogy. I read it most years in my teens, was sidetracked in my twenties and early thirties and rediscovered it a few years ago (maybe a couple of years before the first film came out); I've read it roughly once a year since. Still can't believe the first time I read it it only took me a week. I was eleven at the time!. That's how much I loved it; and it was a school week too!

Anyway, hope you manage to find your way into the custom ranks sooner rather than later (go on, you know its worth it! )Best of luck!
