My wife and I are planning to call her folks tonight and razz them about the earthquake this evening. It feels good to be able to give them back a little of what they gave to us all those years we lived in California (where a 3.8 wouldn't even get you out of bed). Now out to survey the tree that fell on my house and truck an hour or so ago.

What's almost funny, is that a couple of weeks ago, here in California, we had a funnel cloud pass over our neighborhood.

Cool bass, Danno!! I'm eagerly watching this one too!

We didn\t feel it over by the big pond, Lake Michigan, just heard about it when I got into work... what are you talking about....earthquake.... must be the 12 of Snow here in Northern Illinois thats on my mind, with maybe more to come; I assure you guys on the East Coast I\m not complaining!
Nice bass going to be versatile with all that pickup power!

After a second pass at the flaky precip, I got a call that I will be off on Thursday as well. I'll take it but I feel it erring on the side of caution. I celebrated with more tea and playing my 6 string Spoilers  in turn and gave the Europa 5 some attention as well. Thursday will be black bass attention time. I also visited iTunes, Chris Squire, Holdsworth live, Glass Hammer, Jonas Hellborg and Life of Agony. I'm learning to deal with GAS in small ways while I wait. Strings, iTunes and looking here and at ebay. Give me strength, I wanted to bid on a Zon legacy 6!

That Zon is sexy! Ebay is such a cruel drug. Your 10 string is going to be something else mate - much more entertaining than just another 6'er.

Off for winter break. The GAS attack is gonna be fierce! Planning on QiGong, Taiji Jian sword class, gym, practicing and at least 1 trip to Harlem for chicken n' waffles. I hear Amy Ruth's is bangin'! And I can't forget at least one trip to Steve's Sizzling Steak on 17 in Joisey. What we must do to stay off ebay while we wait for our new babies to arrive. Perhaps I should meditate too?

Yes, I agree... It's easy to not-trip on the progress of the bass, when you got plenty to do.

I get this feeling of emptiness when the Holiday's approach, and my plate of things to do to keep your mind off the progress of my bass, gets empty.

Just today, I went to Home Depots and bought (2) palm trees and (9) Philodendron plants, just to keep me busy during my 3 days off.

My Neighbors next door, asked if my wife and I wanted to join them in the new life celebration of their new Grand Son.

It even gets to a point, where I pray not to think about the progress of my bass because it gets me too anxious to slightly think about it (because I want it so badly...).

I am done with pictures. Showing pictures is like a teasing a small kid with candy. It's got to a point now, I don't want to see any more pictures and that's bad... I a don't even want to draw it anymore.

I say these things, because when I speak the truth about what is going on inside, I feel free. I feel better, and I am poised, cool, calm and collected again to say: BRING ON THE PAIN... I CAN TAKE ANOTHER YEAR IF I HAVE TO... LOL!!!!

When Mica finally calls me to get my bass, I'll probably wait a few days or act like it was no sweat, and it was only a dream. I might ask my wife to pinch me to see if I am dreaming of those heavenly words.

LOL!!!

Hang in there baby!

Yeah, Right!  When Mica told me my last bass was on it's way to Scotland I was clicking the 'track your parcel' link every 10 minutes for the 3 days it took to get here.

I've been through this process 8 times before and this is the ninth plus 2 refinishes. The only non special orders were a Distillate 5 and a Red Skylark, oh and shirts, hats and strings. Gotta help grow the brand people. Its all part of the experience that adds to the joy of owning one of these instruments. However long it takes, I'm good with it. The pleasure I get from each bass never diminishes. A rare thing in the times we live in, produced by a rare family of artists in a place I've never visited.

I seen the pictures you shared Danno, and your collection is impressive.

I also agree with you whole-heartedly.

Peace and Love,

To every  thing, turn, turn,  turn,
There is a season, turn, turn, turn,
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything, turn, turn, turn,
There is a season, turn, turn, turn,
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together

To everything, turn, turn, turn,
There is a season, turn, turn, turn,
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

To everything, turn, turn, turn,
There is a season, turn, turn, turn,
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late

Nothing special friends. Just wanted to give the thread some exercise while I was thumpin' on the Europa 5!
