Please be forgiving of my Photoshop skills! When your bass is finished, the wood will look darker, and the contrast between the inlay and the Coco Bolo will be stunning. Here's a photo of your bass today, with the proposed inay in place:

Here's your bass in spray, just about ready to get the body inlay. James is scheduled to start the inlay next week.

Jon just finished inlaying the shell pieces and now the glue is drying. Here's a sneak peak:

Don't worry about the funny black spots - they are artifacts of the pattern gluing. This will of course look even better when it's sanded down to the surface of the bass and the finish is applied over it.

I'll be going shopping with my mom tomorrow for the perfect eye - we liked the pink sapphire so much on the last dragon inaly we did we thought perhaps a nice golden topaz for your inlay would do nicely.

WOW! That's some really nice inlay work you've got there. I'll bet that Susan played a big part in THAT design!! Hope you enjoy your bass as much as I've enjoyed mine all of these years- she STILL turns heads!

Can you get the delivery on Thursday? Mary was out of the office some last week and she's pretty much the only one qualified to pack and ship the Series I and II basses. She's back, your bass is packed and can leave today. Just want to make sure you can accept delivery on Thursday.
