Your bass completely finished, and quite possibly already at Bass Northwest:

And a closeup to the 14k gold logo and script:

It's quite a bit more shiny than the bronze logo.

Dear Shoji,

May I be the first to congradulate you on this momentuous occasion!
You probably won't see this though until you crawl out from the room that you entered with this in your hands.
Anyway, when you come out for air, SWEET BASS!!

Aloha, Paul

Hi Mica,

Another request for you.
I'm going to play with .030 .040 .060 .080 gauges in tenor bass tuning(ADGC).
Request to have a nut and a bridge with string slots to fit properly made.
Thanks in advance.

I've made this clear on the work order, but one thing we prefer for special sptrings is that you send us a set of what you intend to use on the bass. This way, we'll make sure that the tensions involved will work out best and be the easiest for you to adjust for in the future.

Please send them to:
Alembic, Inc.

3005 Wiljan Court
Santa Rosa, CA 95407

Thank you.

Sure, my pleasure!!!
It's already packed up and ready to send. I'll drop it first thing in the morning tomorrow.
Thanks for asking.

I received your strings today, 3 from D'Addario EXL190 and a single SBL 030 from Rotosound. I'll get these matched up with your bass for the final setup.

(x) Neck Finish
« Reply #40 on: March 10, 2007, 12:10:11 AM »
Hi Mica,

Lately I've noticed there is an option to have clear neck finish with satin neck feel, and there is no charge for this option on any instrument that has the polyester finish.
Request to have my neck with satin neck feel.
Thanks in advance.

There's one thing I worry about. It's neck dimensions.
I've placed an order with custom fingerboard width (nut width:1.4 inches with narrow bridge). But, is that enough info for you? Otherwise, do you need some more inputs or further discussion?

I checked the work order for you. The nut width is 1.4 inches and teh 24th fret is 2.25. The 2.25 dimension is the same that we use for our Classic taper necks (the ones with narrower bridge spacing).
