If I remember correctly- Alembic doesn't use stains.  They do tint the spray finish (like the cool amber finish on some of the maple tops), but they never stain the wood.
 
Take all of that with a grain of salt- I've been VERY wrong a few times around here.

Hope you still remember my request for more pics of the peghead. Because, I'm eager to see that to see if it's completed as ordered before shipment from the factory.

Looks really amazing, but just one question for you.
Is that the Solid 14K Gold logo and script that I ordered? I paid extra for it, but cannot find out any script on it.
