Now that looks absolutely fantastic. The Coco Bolo has turned out just how I wanted and I love the lighter coloured mahogany, reminds me of honey Thanks ever so much Mica, you've certainly made my day. Only another couple of weeks and I'll be holding this beauty. Can hardly wait.

This beautiful piece of coco bolo appears to be melting.  I also love the contrast between the darker and lighter sections of the wood.  A very attractive bass overall.  Congratulations Graeme.

I like the contrast too; and I thought it was something other than mahogany.

I'd assumed it was mahogany as i didn't specify anything different but it is alot lighter than the body of my epic.

Perhaps Mica can confirm.

It's mahogany. It will get darker over time.

She's arrived! Words can't express the joy I'm feeling right now. As good as Mica's pictures are, they can't compare to the real thing. in the scottish sunlight this afternoon, the cocobolo is glowing. I've tried taking some photos with my daughters digital but it's not very high quality so i'll get some on my 'real' camera and try to get them posted next week.
