I don't know...I'm probably posting in the wrong corner of the realm, but what the hey. For my 59th birthday I realized, achieved, and am finally able to put to rest the lust that started in the 1963 Gibson catalogue. Took me 50 years of patience (of varying stages) and prayer and I was finally at the right place at the right time. Got me a Firebird. It is not a vintage piece, but a 2002 that spent it's life in a...you guessed it...a Lynard Skynard tribute band playing 2 songs a night. Frets aren't even worn. The 9-piece neck brought fond memories of some basses I have owned and still own. God is cool...

Loves me some Firebird V!!
A buddy used to have a slick early '65 with reverse body & non-reverse headstock; too sweet for words!

I've lusted for one of these for a long time. They are definitely on the short list of guitars I would love to own.

My buddy has a bicentennial Thunderbird bass he bought new (in 1976). Plays sweet.
Beautiful Guitar, congrats!

-George Takei voice - Oh myyyyyy.
I always think Phil Manzanera when I see a lovely old 'bird, but that's just me I suppose.
What a sweetie! Enjoy, as if there were a doubt!
