Hi Guys,

Has anyone had any experiance with a 5 String 32 inch scale.  Im wondering about how well the Low b would play if you had it setup that way.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Michael,

welcome here!
Is 32 a short scale or a medium scale?
If medium: brother Jan has a EVH signature 5 string what is medium.
In case of short scales ...I really dunno!

Yep Paul is right

I have a 32 5 string which sounds great and tight on the B. 32 inch is Alembics medium scale as you can see half way the page on http://www.alembic.com/info/custom_options.html
No problem at all.

Some pics of the 5 string are available on http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8794.msg103670#msg103670

Cheers
Jan

I also have a 32 inch scale with a low B.  It is a graphite neck bass.  I don't know if that makes a difference with the low B or not.  I find the low B on this bass to be quite nice actually.  It has a low action, so I play it soft.  I think that if someone was used to playing a bass harder, it may be a problem.
