I quite like the dragon wing design, but am thinking about something smaller and slightly more symetrical for a 30.29 scale length instrument. Kind of a dragonised small body.

Having been laid up with a cold for a few days gave me an opportunity to tinker with Photoshop - and I came up with this, using elements of Susan's original design.

It needs to be a bit more curved where the lower horn/claw joins the body, but that was beyond my Photoshop skills.

That's a really cool and professional 'mock up'! I bet it would've caused quite a stir amongst club members if you'd have posted this as your new baby dragon that just came in, or something like that. But I can see the potential, I agree on the horn/body joints. Maybe the appearance of the body would benefit from a somewhat smaller (less wide) shape for added elegance?

I like it!  The headstock is very nice!  The symetrical triple cut bottom is very nice too!  My suggestions; extend the upper horn for balance, and narrow the waist a bit.  Yes, the triple cut bottom is a great design!

Saaaaaawwweett!  If you think about it, the inlay looks like you are looking at the dragon's back from above...add a pair of large folded wings and you have a beaut!
