Would Alembic make 26 fret fretboards?
« on: March 22, 2005, 04:01:49 PM »
As you probably have gathered from my few posts, I am a big Entwistle fan and I've noticed on his Buzzard basses that they all have 26 fret positions. I remember a post somewhere about the possibility of a triple pickup thunderbird-styled bass having to lose frets to fit the 3rd p/up, and was womdering if the good folk could make a fingerboard w/ 26 frets on a Series bass.

Seeing as John and Susan were designing the Dragon Wing together, perhaps John would have asked Susan to slip on a pair of extra frets for him!

I know that when I placed my order Mica got back to me w/ a quote that included a 28 fret fingerboard!!! (she confused my order w/ someone else's)~ so I'd say it's definitely a possibility

Sounds good to me!
I'm off to bed soon but I think I'll have to take a closer look at the Dragon Wing and play 'count the frets'! Let me see...1...2...3....zzzzzz..
