im really thinking its between the king stgandard or an essence. cant decide which one, they both have good options. it just that the standard comes with some of the features i would be upgrading the essence to. any input for sound differences?

Signature electronics, with a filter and Q for each pickup, offer significantly more tonal options than Essence electronics.

There should not be a significant difference in tone between the body shapes.  Obviously the larger body will have more mass and more of the characteristics of the wood used; but both being neck-throughs, the difference shouldn't be significant.  A consideration for the Essence is that the body is generally too small for Signature electronics; there have been a few Essence bodies fitted with Signature electronics, but custom routing and fitting are required.

that makes more sense, signature electronics were not really meant to be put in the essence. that mark king is sounding like a better idea. I will have to have mica tell me when she a completed one, maybe i can play it down at the factory.
