I would love to get an Alembic Cello with a midi out, and an effects loop with mix like the one in Ezra's custom.

I've often dreamt of an Alembic Electric Mandolin but wouldn't want to ask out of fear of the price...

I'm sure there are others here who might remember this...  Back around 1979-1980, I'm pretty sure there was an Alembic mandolin high on the wall at Stars Guitars,  the famous guitar repair shop on Folsom in San Francisco across the street from the Automatt.

That would have been the   Stars  Guitars location after the move from 60 Brady Street .  I remember that place.

I'll have to ask about the mandolin, but I know there were a few electric violas. Sadly, I don't have any photos of these, but I've seen files for for of them so far.

i'd be in heaven if i could have an Alembic mandolin(octave mandolin, mandocello, doesn't matter!) is there any way to gauge a price of what it would cost?

Hi!  So I've been the proud owner of one of the Stars Guitars mandocellos for about 15 years.  (It is currently looking for a new home - see the link in the seen on ebay part of the forum).  More importantly though, you can find a bunch of photos I recently took of my instrument here:

A truly amazing instrument.
