Truss Rod Cover
« on: August 16, 2012, 09:04:42 PM »
I would love to get a brass truss rod cover for the Orion and have it engraved with something specific. Should I go to our local dealer and place the order there or is it ok to radio the Mothership directly to place the order? Any advice is welcome.

Blessings...Steve

I asked Mica the same question a few years ago when I wanted a brass truss rod cover for my epic.  I've lost the email reply but I do recall I would have to have sent the plastic one back so that they got the holes drilled I the correct place.  I can't remember the cost but I guess it was more than I could afford at the time as I didn't proceed.

Like Graeme, my recollection too is that it is not as straightforward as you might think.  So yes, contact the shop.

It's not simple, but if you were coming by, and we knew in advance, we could fabricate one for you in a couple of hours. Engraving can't be done that quickly, but you could take it to any trophy shop or mall for the engraving.

Thank you, Mica...I am having an urge to venture north of the big orange bridge and possible end up in Alembicville. I will let you know, for sure.
