Dub Switch

Since about this time last year I've been playing bass with Musical Youth and using a variety of my alembics to do that.  
One of the things I'd like is what I choose to call a  Dub Switch facility.
 
What I would like is a switch with an internal frequency control that I can pre-set the frequency and boost setting that I want to come into effect when I turn the switch on.  
 
The idea is that I can quickly switch in a pre-set frequency and boost so that regardless of the current bass setting, when I'm doing a Dub Section on stage I can switch in a heavy fat punch, then switch out back to my previous setting when I'm finished without having to turn knobs back and forth when there is generally very little time to do that.
 
On the original Europa bass the boost and cut switches were that kind of thing but frequency didn't feel like it was low enough to give me what I needed.

You can do that with your Alembic SF-2  Super Filter ! All that you need is a foot operated A/B switch . You could even use two  A/B switches if your bass output is stereo. It just takes a little creative signal path routing .

Sonicus, could you explain how that would work. I have an Artcessories Cool Switch that I used for guitar some  years back.

If you want to be able to switch your SF-2 in and out of your signal chain, you can easily accomplish this with a simple looper switch (not the electronic looper that records and repeats phrases) like this one.

For the purpose that I perceive that you want , you would connect the device from your link as per the directions that they give under USAGE ,One instrument between two amps ,   with one feed output going though the ALEMBIC SF-2 and the other feed output straight to the amp . If you have multiple channels such as an ALEMBIC F-2B preamp both feeds can be mixed at DIFFERENT GAIN LEVELS  levels  to a mono output ,OR for that matter any multi input interface.
   BIll's link may suit you just as well but perhaps with less signal control.

Ah ok, with that in mind I do have a Boss L-S2 in my guitar pedal board which would probably be better as has two send and return loops with volume on each one so I could put both channels of the sf-2 through it and switch to the ones I need. Gonna need quite a few leads to test it out though.
 
I originally bought it to keep my digital multi effects unit out of the signal chain until I needed it as it was a tone sucking monster.
