Interesting JPJ Guitar
« on: May 23, 2014, 12:23:05 AM »
I found this pic in the Floyd Rose Facebook gallery.
It looks like a triple omega with the Roland midi system but I'm curious what the controls are. They could be many things.

I'm pretty confident the Roland bit is a volume and scroll buttons.master volume by the bridge, pickup selector on the lower horn. so what would the other 4 controls be.
It's clearly a series guitar of some sort with those pickups. Any guesses?
And before anyone asks.... yes i do have a lot of time on my hands at the moment. :-) hahahaa

Very cool guitar!

My guess on the other four are volume and filter for each pickup.

Awesome!!!!

There's an COTM JPJ 8-string which shares some very similar features.... Can't help but wonder if they were both commissioned by the same player, or if one inspired the other...

It's a Series II guitar with internal CVQ controls and the Roland pickup. It's the same owner as the one Mike linked to.

The upper body half is a wedge - so it's comfortable like tummy and elbow shaping, but the look from the front isn't altered by the carving. You'll have to imagine this feature, it's not really visible in the pic.

That's interesting.... If I had a guitar w CVQs I'd twiddle with those a lot.... Is the PF6 card in the wedge?
