Mica.  This was my first Alembic.  The Spoiler with the decal.  I never saw this part of the website before but if you have the time I would be interested in knowing the history of this one.

The S/N would be 82 for the year, then an S for a Spoiler, and finally four digits - so your number must be off.

It would make sense if it was something like:
82 S 2218.

More than likely, it's my eyesight that is off.  Curse the aging process

I'll have to double check this when I get home

I hope it's not 2218 - that one isn't in the drawer  hopefully it will turn up.

However, as a Spoiler with a decal, I can tell you with 95% certainty that it's got solid a Koa body, Maple neck, Ebony fingerboard with pearloid oval inlays.

It is, in fact, 82 S 2218.  Does this mean I'm jinxed?

It looks to be Koa wood and it definitely has the decal.

You're not jinxed, Alain. It probably means that whoever looked up information on it before misfiled it when they put it away. As I get these records in a database, I'm hoping to run across these missing files, I'll let you know if I do!
