Even though the serial number is a C this is considered a California Special guitar. The electronics are recorded as CS, so this was made after we made the named model.
To test the pickups function, you can swap the connector of the non-functioning one for one that is functioning. This will tell you if the pickup is dead or if there is a problem in the wiring. Replacement pickups are available, and we can repair the electronics, so it's entirely possible to get your guitar back in original playing condition.
