Hello,
I've just worked out a deal for this bass.  (It's a Series II at The Lowend.)
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Pat

The bass just arrived today, and it looks like the serial number is actually 843169.

Here's a picture:

Ack! I pulled the file in the title. I'll pull the file on Monday.

From the photo, I can tell the top is Bubinga, Maple and Purpleheart neck, Ebony fingerboard. I'll find the rest from the file.

Sorry about that Mica!

I got the serial from the store before it arrived.  It is a bit hard to see on the fingerboard, so I looked inside the control cavity...
Sorry to have you pull the wrong file,
Pat

Mica,
I just wanted to bump this back up to see if you were able to find any info on this one.

Thanks,
Pat

Hi Pat,

Here's the details (finally!):

top and back: Bubinga
body: Mahogany
neck: Maple and Purpleheart, 30.75 short scale
fingerboard: Ebony with mother of pearl inlays
peghead veneers: Bubinga
tuners: Schaller
custom: PP inlay on peghead
custom: neck is noted as custom, but it doesn't reference a specific width.
birthday: March 24, 1984
originally made for: individual (owner details are private)

I have a note in the file that it was for sale on ebay on 2-11-04.

From the photo, the body shape looks a little custom too - not many Series II basses at the time had elbow carving.

That's all there is.
