Hello,

I got this one on Ebay. It's a Persuader 6 strings. It's now the companion of my 83 4 str. Distillate.

Can I have some history?

Also Is it possible to install the Distillate Electronics on it? If not what do you suggest. I'll do at least the Blend pot mod. I don't like 2 volumes at all.

Thanks a lot

Adi

The Distillate package actually has a single volume with a p/u switch (1, 2, 1 & 2, mute), a filter with a Q switch, and bass and treble cut/neutral/boost switches. The Europa package replaces the p/u switch with a blend pot, so you'll probably want the Europa version.

You'll need to drill a few holes in your Persuader. I guess you have just the three pots, VVT? Post a pic of the control lay-out, and the inside of the control cavity, just to make sure that you're getting something that will fit with only minor woodwork.

Hi Adi,

Here's the details I found in the file for your bass:

top: Flame Maple
body: Mahogany
through body neck: Maple and Purpleheart 34 long scale
fingerboard: Ebony with pearloid inlays, custom width 2.5x3.5
pickups: AXY56
controls: 2 volume 1 filter mono output
birthday: July 20, 1990
originally made for: Guitar Center, San Diego. Must have been a custom order, but the origial owner did not register the bass.

There was a registered owner in 2002 in southern California. He replaced the pickup screws.

I'll need to see the control cavity to determine if we can change the electronics to Distillate or Europa. It's certainly possible, but it would be nice to see if it's possible without enlarging the control cavity.

You can change from 2 volumes to volume/blend quite easily. You need to order a new 1-volume harness and a pan module. Have your serial number handy when you place the order so we can update the file.

Thanks a lot Mica,

I'll post pictures soon.

I'll think about the Blend Control. I know it will be way cheaper than the Distillate electronics

tks a lot
