Hello.

I own a Spoiler (1983?) with a serial number of 83S2549. What is the history of this bass? Also, do you have any idea what the current market value of my bass is?

Thank you!

Hi Keith, welcome to the board!

My guess on market value would be roughly $1,500US if it's in good condition with a case; but this is just a guess based on what I've seen Spoilers go for on Ebay and elsewhere, and given my limited ability to accurately remember stuff.

Thank you so much davehouck and artswork99!!! The previous thread with the build info was posted by me-I FORGOT THE PASSWORD THAT I USED AT THAT TIME!!! The information that you kind people have graciously provided for me will be very helpful as I am selling my beloved Spoiler. I have made the jump to 5-string for our church's high-energy gospel music services and am not playing the Alembic much these days.(I am currently playing a Cirrus 5 and am looking to add a Ken Smith 5) It has given me many years of joy and I pray that someone else can experience the same!

Thank you again and God Bless!!!

Keith
