Thank you!  Yes, although she needs a little TLC, I'm already thrilled!  I just got the pickup screws (7 out of 8 were missing), truss wrench and brass polish I ordered from Alembic, so I'll be giving her the 'full treatment' this afternoon (total overhaul, setup and strobination).  Already one of the most amazing instruments I've ever played, I can't wait to unleash it at it's full potential.  Thanks in no small part to the plethora of info on this board, by this time tomorrow I should be well on my way to global domination!

William,
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your recent acquisition.  The lookups may take a little time as most of the records are hand written. When your request is located Mica will post the info back to the thread.
Play it Healthy!

Hi William,

Here's what I found in the instrument file:

HLB5 Elan 5-string bass

top: Quilted Maple
accent: Walnut pinstripe
body: Maple
neck: 7-piece Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 34 long
fingerboard: Ebony
taper: custom 2.06 x 2.93
inlays: Pearloid ovals
body shape: Elan
peghead shape: Elan Inline
pickups: AXY56
controls: volume, pan, filter, Q switch, mono output
finish: Grapeburst*
originally made for: Midwest Music
birthday: January 30, 1991

There's a note by the finish from my mom. *The Grapeburst should not be too light in the center. See Susan for final color approval.
