Thanks for the kind welcome! I'll post pics once I get it back from the local Luthier. After I picked it up I immediately took it to him to put a clear lacquer coat of the autograph to protect the signature for all eternity! He's also doing a set up. Pics will be forthcoming for sure!
It makes sense what you say about privacy, though the only thing I could think of that would be touchy info would be price information, credit card info, and address of original owner. I would think lineage (meaning name only) would be ok to share and very cool to track!
Anyways - Mica, any info and background on the instrument that you can share would be most appreciated. BTW, I've never known much about Alembic before researching this instrument, other than Jerry Garcia and John Entwistle played them. After having played the instrument, and after having spoke to Mica and Mary on the phone today, I can see the attraction and draw to this company. I got a very positive feeling from our phone conversation - felt like I was talking to a friend, not doing business! Much appreciated, especially amidst this world of corporate door closing and bowing to the almighty dollar.
