(x) Serial # 80 1607 (6-string guitar circa 1980)

Hi... I would like to find out everything I can about my circa 1980 Alembic bubinga 6-string guitar (serial # 80 1607).  
 
Other than the electronics plate having belt-buckle scratches in it, it is in brand-new condition (only played for a few months then put away in case and storage).
 
I intend on selling it and would really like to know:
 
The exact model it is:
How much did I originally pay for it:
A ball-park price that I may fetch for it:
Anything else of significance about the instrument:

Spyderman! Thank you for replying so quickly... Question: how did you even know about my doubleneck?? I still have it but not interested in parting with it just yet. I'm about to complete work on my first Christian Fiction novel and intend on putting it up for auction at Sotherby's after I've become a best-selling author!  9-)
 
Anyway, here are the photos of my bubinga guitar... please, help me find out all I can about its model and anything else ... and would really like to sell it ASAP.

Anyway... I will definitely post photos of Leviathon as soon as I hire a forklift to lift the roadcase from my special storage area in my garage (it only weighs about 200lbs)... lol
 
It is a killer instrument ... complete with my initials G de M in mother of pearl on the headstock!

I suspect Oliver looked at your profile where you list the double neck. It would be nice to see some pictures of the double neck as they are not common. You could create a thread under either one of the Custom headers in the Showcase section.

that's a rarebird for sure. I haven't seen any in that configuration.
 When you get a chance you should start a thread in the Showcase section ( with lots of closeups )

I don't think Alembic ever built another 4-string base, 6-string guitar. Mine is zebra and it's a behemoth... I'm not a tall guy... I think I have photos of my playing it on stage ...if I can find one... I'll post it with the photos of the axe itself ... so you can see Leviathon in use, with just lots of hair behind it.  9-)

okay... I think I pulled most of the muscles in my back... but I got to the double neck and took some photos of it... you guys inspired me!

Other than being a series one guitar,
the wood recipe would be the most important info to list.... Does it have bubinga on the back?
...and what kind of wood is used for the neck
(maple and ? )
 Also is the power supply (blue box) and original case included ?
 
Mica can be busy so it can take a while to pull the build card.
 My guess the value would be in the $2500-3000 range...that's just a guess though. With such a nice top you might get more.

Thanks Elwood... It's a Bubinga back .. not sure about the neck. Original case (case has just a touch of wear on the outside) but no blue box (I'll look for it again but I may not have the blue box - question: can I still ask the $2,500 - $3,000 range without the blue box?

I'll let others who have bought and sold Alembic guitars recently chime in for a value in todays market...I would guess the blue box would add a couple hundred to the selling price.
 
I bet you'll be getting some good info as folks notice her in the for sale section.
I sure wish I could swing a purchase , I'd have to thin my heard which isn't always fast.
