(x) History request 91EVH6665
« on: September 03, 2013, 01:34:48 AM »
I herited this bass from my dad, who bought it in the 90's. I was wondering wat the technical details are on this bass. Used woods, electronics, etc. I am planning on selling it, wat would be the value of it?

It's a white (!) Edwin van Huik signature.
I guess it was custom made back then.

Happy Alembic Zom!
It will take some time but Mica will pull the build information on the serial number and will post all of the details here.

Zom you have made a great choice there. That's a lovely bass.
I don't know what your budget is but I'd be tempted to get the brasswork gold plated or at least dismantle the bridge and tailpeice and exercise some TLC with some brass cleaner. It deserves to glisten.

Nice Bass!
Reminds me of My old White John Birch SG.
Wish I never sold it!
They are really sought after now.
And you can't buy one for Love nor money.
Best 6 string I ever owned.
So keep it and enjoy.
Andy.

But they are probably Signature with 3-position Q switches, but they extra 2 switches I don't know about.

Um, I really hesitate to disagree with you on something like this, Mica, but I only see 1 extra switch, beside the LED (I'm guessing an on/off?)

I thought it looked like 2 switches by the output jack but one was broken. But yeah it does seem to be an LED. This detail is not recorded in the instrument file.

But on/off for a single LED? I still wonder what the switch is for. Many mysteries!

Anniversary electronics maybe? It would explain two switches by the jack.
