Interesting indeed! I got nothing on the build record. There is a note from my dad on Feb 21, 1979 that there was no card in the file
But there are records of some 1979 modifications when you sent it in in March of that year: installed LEDs with a dimmer and added a master volume control, and the bridge was replaced. Dad replaced the bass channel FET (input was shorted). In 1985 the LEDs were repaired, and I see an estimate that sort of indicates these items may have been done: counterbore tailpiece area, new nut, then something I don't quite understand, Straighten up check pickup lower holes action bridge so we did SOMETHING with all that, I just can't quite figure out what from the notes.
Please have your grandson register the bass with us. It's an honor that it will remain in your family.
