Series I (#76 573)
« on: October 24, 2012, 12:30:42 PM »
I've owned my Series I since 1997. It was a gift from my family when I graduated from high school. I was then and still am a dedicated bassist, so owning a Series Alembic is a real joy. I was curious about what information might be turned up for my model (serial # 76 573). It's a small body Series I with unusual Grover twisted tuners. Before I purchased it, the previous owner had installed a master volume. I've played live with it numerous times. the neck position Q is a little wonky, but I finagle it :-)

They have a file with nice index cards on almost every older bass they made. It does take a while for them to find time to look though. Maybe even over 6 months.

Got any pictures?

Bye,
Dave

Yes, I should have some pictures soon. I'm doing a little maintenance work on the PUs at the moment, but should have it sorted before long. Many thanks for the information, though. I expected it to take a while to locate the specifics on my bass...I'm in no hurry!
